Pygmy Synodontis
Synodontis petricola
Freshwater Lake Tanganyika, Africa Usually captive bred
Endemic to Lake Tanganyika, this dwarf catfish has a beige body adorned with dark spots and bright white fin margins. Gregarious and active, it weaves through rock crevices in search of morsels. It requires hard, alkaline water and must be kept in groups to flourish.
