Aplocheilus lineatus
Freshwater South Asia Usually captive bred
A brilliant golden, selectively bred surface predator with shimmering scales and a broad mouth. It ambushes passing prey and will swallow any fish small enough to fit inside its wide jaws. Provide floating plants for shade, keep tankmates medium-sized, and maintain a secure lid.
