Chocolate Gourami
Sphaerichthys osphromenoides
Freshwater South-east Asia
A delicate labyrinth fish noted for its chocolate-brown body crossed by warm cream stripes. Extremely shy and fragile, it requires pristine, acidic, and very soft blackwater conditions rich in tannins. Keep it in a quiet species setup with gentle filtration, floating vegetation, and dim lighting.
