Porthole Livebearer
Poeciliopsis gracilis
Freshwater Central America Usually captive bred
The Porthole Livebearer is a slender Central American fish adorned with a row of dark circular dots reminiscent of ship portholes. Active and peaceful, it thrives in well-planted community tanks with moderate water hardness. It reproduces freely, though adult females typically attain much larger sizes than males.
