Humphead Glassfish
Parambassis pulcinella
Freshwater South-east Asia
An unmistakable riverine fish boasting a transparent body and an exaggerated cranial forehead hump in mature specimens. Native to rapid flowing rivers, they demand exceptionally clean, well-oxygenated water with generous current. Keep them in a peaceful group over smooth river stones.
