Golden Panchax
Pachypanchax playfairii
Freshwater Africa Usually captive bred
The Golden Panchax, native to the Seychelles, is a robust non-annual killifish featuring iridescent scales that famously stand slightly erect along its flanks. It lurks near the surface waiting for insects and smaller fish. Robust and adaptable, it will readily nip trailing fins and must be kept under an airtight lid.
Also called: Golden panchax, Playfair's panchax.
