Striped Dwarf Catfish
Mystus vittatus
Freshwater South Asia Usually captive bred
A hardy bagrid catfish featuring silvery-blue horizontal stripes, long sensory barbels, and an adaptable constitution. Primarily nocturnal, it remains hidden during daylight and emerges eagerly to scavenge after dark. Do not house it with bite-sized community fish, as anything it can engulf will be hunted overnight.
Also called: Striped dwarf catfish, Striped catfish, Striped dwarf cat fish.
