Displaying a dark eye mask and a prominent black stripe arching along the dorsal ridge into the lower tail lobe, this catfish is often confused with Corydoras davidsandsi. A soft sandy substrate is mandatory to prevent barbel erosion, alongside stable, slightly acidic conditions.
