Copadichromis Trewavasae
Copadichromis trewavasae
Freshwater Lake Malawi, Africa Usually captive bred
Copadichromis trewavasae is a gorgeous Utaka cichlid characterised by long, trailing pelvic fins and an intense electric blue body contrasted with bright yellow dorsal trims on breeding males. Peaceful compared to Mbuna, it gathers in open midwater shoals and must not be harassed by aggressive, territorial cichlids.
