Blind Cave Tetra

Astyanax jordani

A cave-dwelling form of the Mexican tetra devoid of functional eyes and pigment, relying on a hyper-sensitive lateral line to navigate seamlessly. They are hardy, lively omnivores, but their inquisitive bumping and occasional fin-nipping make them unsuitable companions for timid or delicate long-finned tankmates.
