Whiptail Catfish originally come from South America’s cool and fast flowing rivers. You should keep the Whiptail Catfish in a heavily planted aquarium with a sandy substrate for them to swim over. You should have plenty of hiding places for the Whiptail as it is a very shy species and loves places where it can retreat to if it feels threatened or scared. You should have at least a 10 gallon tank to house the Whiptail Catfish. The Whiptail Catfish is a very peaceful Catfish but is very shy, The Whiptail will make a great community fish as long as it is not kept with species that will bully it. The Whiptail Catfish is a great scavenger and algae eater, but you should also feed this catfish flakes and pellets and its own food.
