Aquarium Related Tips

1. You should take out any carbon filters in the aquarium when you are medicating your fish. The carbon in the filter will remove the medicine from the water, so it is best to remove it all together.

2. Do not overfeed the fish in your aquarium. Keep your feeding times at scheduled intervals to avoid overfeeding. If you are just starting your feeding routine, start out small and increase the amounts you put in on how much your fish eat.

3. If you have a protein skimmer you should shut it off when you are adding medicine to your aquarium. The protein skimmer will remove any medicines added to the aquarium.

Tonga Branch Regular

$5.50

Tonga Branches are a type of live rock that can be found in the Pacific Ocean and around the Tonga Islands. Tonga Branches are great to keep with reef aquariums, and should be placed in a part of the aquarium where they can receive medium lighting. Tonga Branches are typically red-purple in color and function like all other live rock in helping the nitrogen cycle in your aquarium and helping to keep your tank at the best possible level of biological filtration. Tonga Branches can be rather large and should only be kept in a larger sized aquarium, if you still want some live rock in a smaller aquarium, you can speak with a sales representative to help you get a smaller section.
