Found all through the Pacific Ocean, this fish, also known as a Bridled and a Red Clownfish, is very beautiful and popular. It has a deep orange body with a vertical white band running from one side to the other, behind the eyes. There is a thin vertical white band on each side at mid-dorsal. A very hardy fish not as prone to clownfish disease (brooklynella hostili), as other clownfish. Most are born as males with the most dominate morphing into a female. A good beginner clownfish.

Light: None Adaptivity: Needs plenty of hiding places and room to swim near the bottom. Will do best with moderately aggressive tank-mates. It will take 2+ hours to fully acclimate. Compatibility: Ideal for a reef system. In the wild, this fish lives among Bubble and Sebae Anemones, but do not need them to survive in the aquarium. If not present, the fish will use a coral as a host. May also Bathe in large polyp corals, causing the coral enough stress that it never closes again. Also a good community fish, if housed with equally aggressive tank-mates. Less aggressive and passive eater tank-mates will have their feed eaten and get picked on by this clownfish.
