Aquarium Related Tips

1. You should take out any carbon filters in the aquarium when you are medicating your fish. The carbon in the filter will remove the medicine from the water, so it is best to remove it all together.

2. It is generally a good practice to purchase the largest aquarium that you can actually afford. A larger aquarium will be less susceptible to quick changes in the chemistry, and will offer much more stability.

3. It is never a good idea to add shells from the beach into your aquarium. Introducing shells raw from the beach can add harmful bacteria and potentially new creatures to the aquarium.

Tinfoil

$0.00

The Tinfoil barb grows very large sometimes up to 14 inches in length. Because the tinfoil Barb gets very large you should not keep them in smaller aquariums, as they need a lot of room to roam around. Tinfoil barbs should be kept in groups of at least 5, if Tinfoil barbs are in smaller groups or by themselves they can act much more aggressively. Tinfoil Barbs display a beautiful color arrangement, of silver and golden yellow. Tinfoil barbs are generally very peaceful creatures and live to a life span of around 8-10 years. These fish are great to get if you have a larger aquarium and they are very active and beautiful to watch in captivity.
