Aquarium Related Tips

1. Catfish sometimes require freshwater as juveniles and then as they get old they will need a more brackish environment. Make sure you read up on your catfish to learn what its needs will be when it gets older.

2. Always use a new or clean bucket when going through the acclimation or water changing process. A bucket that has been used to hold bleach or other chemicals can be very harmful for the fish in your aquarium.

3. After establishing your aquarium, pick fish that will add well to the current water conditions in your aquarium. Also be sure to check their temperament and other needs to be sure that they will make the transition in your aquarium smoothly.

Tennenti Tang

$48.95

Tennenti Tangs are originally from the waters of the Indian Ocean around Sri Lanka and Bali. Tennenti Tangs grow to around 10 inches at full length and should be kept in an aquarium of at least 90 gallons in size to provide plenty of swimming and living room for them. Tennenti Tangs are peaceful members of the aquarium, and should not be kept with more aggressive species that may attack or bully this fish. Tennenti Tags are omnivores, and should be fed a steady diet with plenty of herbivore and carnivore preparations. These fish are a bit difficult to care for, and should only be kept by the experienced aquarium owner.
