Tahitian Butterflyfish come from the waters around Tahiti, hence their name. Tahitian Butterflyfish grow to around 7 inches at full length and should be kept in an aquarium of at least 50 gallons in size to provide plenty of swimming and living space for this fish. Tahitian Butterflyfish are carnivores and should be fed a steady diet consisting of finely chopped meats and mysis shrimp, along with other meaty preparations. Tahitian Butterflyfish are peaceful, but can be a bit hard to care for which is why we only recommend the experienced aquarium owner care for these fish.
