Synodontis Multipuncatus Catfish are also commonly referred to as the Cuckoo Catfish. The Cuckoo Catfish is found mostly in Africa and in the wild, this catfish swims in large schools up to depths of 40 meters or more. The Cuckoo Catfish is drawn to this depth because of the diminished light, however this catfish is not nocturnal. The Cuckoo Catfish is very compatible with Cichlid’s and can be housed with them safely. You should feed your Cuckoo catfish a steady diet of flakes, brine shrimp, bloodworms, plankton and krill. This catfish is a great addition to an aquarium, and if you are looking to spawn them, they are very fascinating in that aspect, going through a symbiotic processes with cichlids.
