1. Make sure you ask plenty of questions when you are buying accessories or fish for your aquarium. The salespeople are there to help you, and should be able to handle any concerns you have when buying items for your aquarium.

2. You need to have some healthy natural bacteria to process the wastes and chemicals in your aquarium. This will take around 4 weeks to grow naturally, but you can purchase products to speed up the process.

3. You should always stay up to date on the new and exciting practices for fish keeping. Subscribe to several news letters to keep up to date. If you like to read, go to your local library and get some books on fish keeping.

Synodontis Angelicus Catfish

$46.25

The Synodontis Angelicus Catfish, also called the Angel catfish is a very peaceful catfish. The Angel Catfish can commonly be found digging at the base of your aquarium, and to keep this catfish happy you should have a sand substrate bottom for digging, as well as crevices where this catfish can hide. You should keep the Angel Catfish in an aquarium that is larger than 50 gallons this species is sensitive to nitrates so you must have a great water conditioner to house the Angel Catfish. The Angel Catfish is also happiest with a steady flow of water in the aquarium. The Angel Catfish feeds off of insects and algae so it requires a steady diet involving these two groups.
