Aquarium Related Tips

1. When adding plants to the aquarium, be sure to check the lighting needs. Try to find plants that will fit the pre-existing lighting conditions of your aquarium. You should avoid plants that require much more light than the fish in your aquarium.

2. Goldfish require a PH level of around 7.5 to live comfortably. Use PH testing strips to ensure that the levels in your aquarium are just right.

3. It is important to pay attention to the limitations of the fish you place in the aquarium. Do not place fish into aquariums smaller than there recommended range, this can lead to increased aggression and decreased health.

Striped Dogface Puffer

$29.95

Striped Dogface Pufferfish are originally from the waters of the Pacific Ocean. Striped Dogface Pufferfish grow to around 12 inches at full length and should be kept in an aquarium of at least 60 gallons to provide this fish with plenty of room to swim and live in. Striped Dogface Pufferfish are generally peaceful, they will fight with other pufferfish though. You should keep your Striped Dogface Pufferfish in an aquarium with fish too big for it to fit in its mouth for best results. This fish is a omnivore, should be fed a lot of meaty foods along with algae wafers.
