The Stellatus Puffer is also commonly called the Starry Puffer or the Stellgate Puffer. Stellatus Pufferfish are originally from the waters of the Indo Pacific Ocean. Stellatus Pufferfish grow to a very large size of up to 40 inches and should be kept in an aquarium of at least 300 gallons in size with a great protein skimmer. Stellatus Pufferfish are carnivores and should be fed a steady diet of squid, clams, krill, and hard shelled shrimp along with other meaty preparations. Stellatus Pufferfish are only recommended for the expert aquarium owner as they are very hard to care for.
