Aquarium Related Tips

1. When keeping aggressive species of fish, it is best not to introduce peaceful species of fish among them. Aggressive fish will tend to bully the more peaceful fish. Make sure to thoroughly read about the compatibility of the selected fish for the aquarium.

2. It is generally a good practice to purchase the largest aquarium that you can actually afford. A larger aquarium will be less susceptible to quick changes in the chemistry, and will offer much more stability.

3. In larger aquariums, you should put a few scavenger fish in the tank. Scavenger fish will help to clean up left behind food and wastes from the other fish in the aquarium. This is a good eco friendly way to keep your aquarium clean.

Star Polyp: Green

$20.95

Star Polyps are originally from the waters of the Indo-Pacific and South East Asia. Star Polyps are peaceful members of the aquarium, and should not be kept with more aggressive species that will move in on its territory and take over. Star Polyps should be kept in a spot in the aquarium where they can receive medium to strong waterflow along with medium to high lighting. Because of its lighting and water flow requirements, you should place this coral to the middle to top part of the aquarium. Star Polyps are easy to care for, and can be kept even by the beginning aquarium owner with little problem.

Lighting: Moderate to High
Waterflow: Medium to Strong
Placement: Middle to Top
Origin: Indo-Pacific
Temperament: Peaceful
Care: Easy
