Aquarium Related Tips

1. Always use a new or clean bucket when going through the acclimation or water changing process. A bucket that has been used to hold bleach or other chemicals can be very harmful for the fish in your aquarium.

2. Provide plenty of places for your aquarium animals to hide. Studies have actually shown that the more places a fish has to hide, the less likely they are to do so! Hiding spots also provide safe spots of refuge for smaller fish in the aquarium

3. You should keep plenty of water testing kits for your aquarium. Testing kits can measure the levels of harmful and beneficial chemicals in the aquarium. You will need these testing kits for the frequent water changes for your aquarium.

Skunk Botia Loach

$15.09

Skunk Botia Loaches are pinkish in color, they also have four unique barbels protruding from their mouth area. Skunk Botia Loaches are also characteristically marked with a black stripe running along the sides of their bodies. Skunk Botia Loaches are scavenger fish and will typically swim along the bottom side of your aquarium to feed off of the scraps left by other fish. Skunk Botia Loaches should be kept in an aquarium of at least 30 gallons in size and should be housed with other fish that match this loaches temperament of semi aggressive. These fish are omnivores and in addition to feeding off of the bottom of the tank they should be fed brine shrimp, bloodworms, and flake and pellet food.
