Silver Tip Tetras are originally from the freshwater bodies in South America, but nowadays they are typically farm raised. Silver Tip Tetras are social fish and should be kept in schools of at least 6 of their own kind. Silver Tip Tetras are an ideal community fish but do require lots of plant and rock cover to provide suitable hiding spots if they feel threatened. Silver Tip Tetras are peaceful omnivores, and should be fed a steady diet of high quality flake food, micro pellet food, and the occasional brine shrimp and daphnia.
