Short Black Urchins grow to a size of around 3 inches in body diameter, and should be kept in an aquarium of at least 40 gallons to provide plenty of swimming and living room for them. Short Black Urchins are herbivores, and should be fed plenty of algae along with seaweed. Short Black Urchins are peaceful members of the aquarium, and can be kept with any other species that will not harm it. These urchins can present some difficult to care for, and should only be kept by the experienced aquarium owner.
