1. Keep plenty of testing kits on hand, if you own a saltwater aquarium you should mainly focus on nitrates, PH, salinity, and phosphate levels.† Never be caught off guard, make sure you have plenty of kits available to test the levels.
2. When keeping aggressive species of fish, it is best not to introduce peaceful species of fish among them.† Aggressive fish will tend to bully the more peaceful fish.† Make sure to thoroughly read about the compatibility of the selected fish for the aquarium.
3. When you are removing a large ornamental rock from your aquarium, make sure to check all the nooks and crannies.† Some fish love to hide in there and it is good to double check to make sure you donít leave one of your fish out of water.
