Sailfin Tangs are also commonly called the Desjardin Tang, Red Sea Sailfins, or Indian Ocean Sailfin Tangs. Sailfin Tangs are originally from the waters of the Red Sea, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives. Sailfin tangs grow to around 1 foot 4 inches at full length and should be kept in an aquarium of at least 125 gallons in size to provide them with plenty of swimming and living room. Sailfin Tangs are herbivores and should be fed sea veggies, seaweed salad, and other herbivore preparations for best health. Sailfin Tangs can be aggressive and should only be kept by the experienced aquarium owner.
