Belonging to the Sucker Mouth classification of Catfish, the Royal Farlowella Catfish is also commonly called the Panama Sturisoma. Originally from the rivers of South America the Royal Farlowella Catfish is a very interesting and beautifully painted catfish. You should keep this catfish in a tank of atl east 30 gallons with lots of room for them to swim around. You should also make sure that there are plenty of plants and rocks and crevices for the Farlowella Catfish to hide in or retreat to in the event that it is threatened. The Royal Farlowella is a scavenger catfish and will eat any scraps left in the aquarium, but you should also feed them a steady diet of catfish pellets and algae wafers.
