Rooster Hogfish are originally from the Indian Ocean and also the Western Pacific Ocean, they can be found around Hawaii as well. Rooster Hogfish grow to around 12 inches in the aquarium and should be kept in an aquarium of at least 100 gallons to provide this fish plenty of room to swim. Rooster Hogfish are carnivores and should be fed a steady diet of plenty of meaty foods for best health. Rooster Hogfish can be aggressive at times but should pose no problem for the beginning aquarium owner as long as they do enough research.

Feeding: Carnivore, should be fed heavy diet of feeder fish
Aquarium: Saltwater, can be kept in a reef aquarium with caution.
