Aquarium Related Tips

1. It is not advisable to leave your aquarium lights on at all times for the aquarium. You should keep the lights on for 8-12 hour periods at a time. If you want to keep the tank lights on when you arrive home, simply get a timer for the lights so your fish stay on a schedule.

2. It is a good idea to keep carbon on hand in case of emergencies. Carbon can be used to soak up anything harmful that may be introduced into your aquarium. So keeping an emergency stock can be a life saver.

3. It is good to budget out the cost of your aquarium. You should leave plenty of money to purchase quality filters, pumps, and heaters for your aquarium. Your big aquarium is going to do you no good if you do not have the proper equipment to keep it going.
