Aquarium Related Tips

1. If you have a protein skimmer you should shut it off when you are adding medicine to your aquarium.† The protein skimmer will remove any medicines added to the aquarium.

2. Having a quarantine tank on hand is a very good practice to use if you frequently buy new fish.† The quarantine tank will weed out any sick fish that could possible get into your aquarium and cause harm to the other inhabitants.†

3. Try to provide an environment that is as stable as possible, fluctuations in the aquarium can have a negative impact on the aquarium.† Try to keep the temperature and PH levels fairly balanced in your aquarium.

Red Tail

$0.00

Red Tail Botias are originally from the waters of Asia. Red Tail Botias are omnivores and should be fed a steady diet of bloodworms and brine shrimp along with herbivore preparations as well. Red Tail Botias typically grow to around 6 inches at full length, and should be kept in an aquarium of at least 50 gallons in size to provide plenty of swimming and living room for these fish. Redtail Botias can be aggressive, and should be kept with other species of fish that can fend for themselves. Red Tail Botias are a bit difficult to care for, and should only be kept by the experienced aquarium owner.
