Red Goatfish are originally from the waters of the South West Pacific around Fiji and Melanesia. Red Goatfish grow to around 20 inches at full length and should be kept in an aquarium of at least 125 gallons in size to provide plenty of swimming and living room for these fish. Red Goatfish are peaceful in nature, and should not be kept with more aggressive species that may attack and harm this fish. Keep this fish with other peaceful fish in the community aquarium. Red Goatfish are carnivores and should be fed a steady diet of plenty of meaty foods including live fish occasionally. Red Goatfish are difficult to care for, and should only be kept by the advanced aquarium owner.
