Purple Tangs are originally from the waters of the Red Sea and are also commonly called the Yellowtail Tang. Purple Tangs can grow up to 5 inches at full length and should be kept in an aquarium of at least 20 gallons to provide enough swimming and living room for these fish. Purple Tangs are herbivores and should be fed a steady diet of frozen and flake foods along with many other herbivore preparations for best possible health. Purple Tangs are aggressive but relatively easy to care for, even the beginning aquarium owner should have no problem with these fish.
