Purple Anthias fish are originally from the waters of the Pacific Ocean. Purple Anthias fish are carnivores and should be fed a steady diet of mysid shrimp, brine shrimp, and other meaty preparations for best health. Purple Anthias fish grow to around 7 inches at full length and should be kept in an aquarium of at least 125 gallons in size to provide plenty of swimming and living room for these fish. Purple Anthias fish are peaceful members of the aquarium, and should not be kept with more aggressive species that may attack or bully it. Purple Anthias are hard to care for, and should only be kept by the expert aquarium owner.
