Aquarium Related Tips

1. Discus fish are very hard to care for, they have very specific care instructions. These fish are hard to care for but are very beautiful. However we recommend that these fish only be kept only by the advanced aquarium owner.

2. You should never used any alcohol to clean the inside of your aquarium. Alcohol can pose health problems for the fish in your aquarium.

3. When adding new species to your aquarium, you have to ease them in. Adding too many fish too quickly can cause the ammonia and chemical levels to raise quickly. Adding fish slowly gives your filter time to catch up.

Powder Blue Dwarf Gourami

$7.75

Powder Blue Dwarf Gourami fish are colored with a light blue and white pattern, with faint brown stripes running vertically on their bodies. Powder Blue Dwarf Gourami fish are a captive bred fish from the parent species of Dwarf Gourami. These fish only grow to a size of around 2¬? inches and should be kept in a fish tank of at least 10 gallons. You should also make sure that the fish tank that you house these fish in has plenty of plant and rock cover, as the Powder Blue Dwarf Gourami is shy and may need places to hide. This fish is an omnivore and should be fed a steady diet of pellets and flake foods, you should also feed them the occasional treat of bloodworms, and insect larvae.
