Aquarium Related Tips

1. You should always thoroughly research the type of aquarium you are going to be setting up before you purchase it. Make sure you have the proper gallon capacity and shape that will fit in your home.

2. When adding plants to the aquarium, be sure to check the lighting needs. Try to find plants that will fit the pre-existing lighting conditions of your aquarium. You should avoid plants that require much more light than the fish in your aquarium.

3. You should never used any alcohol to clean the inside of your aquarium. Alcohol can pose health problems for the fish in your aquarium.

Platygyra Brain

$36.95

The Platygyra Brain coral is also known as the closed brain coral. The Platygyra Brain coral comes in a variety of colors and looks its absolute best under Actinic lighting. The Platygyra Coral is a flat skeletal structure on the bottom that is covered with vibrantly colored flesh. The Platygyra Brain is great for beginners to keep as it is very easy to care for. You can place this coral on the sand bed or on an exposed rock top on the bottom of the aquarium where it can receive a gentle moderate water flow and medium lighting. If you feel that your coral needs an extra boost give it supplements that are rich in calcium, strontium, and other trace elements.
