Aquarium Related Tips

1. Make sure you ask plenty of questions when you are buying accessories or fish for your aquarium. The salespeople are there to help you, and should be able to handle any concerns you have when buying items for your aquarium.

2. When you purchase your aquarium and the equipment for your setup, do not purchase the fish at the same time. You are going to need plenty of time to cycle the water in the aquarium to make it hospitable for the fish in your aquarium.

3. You should always take the time to acclimate your fish to the aquarium. Acclimating your fish will get them used to the environment of the aquarium. Adding fish directly can be too much a shock for your fish and can pose health hazards.

Pink Convict Cichlid

$6.05

With a beautiful coloring of blue-gray and black bands running up and down the body, the Pink Convict Cichlid is an absolutely beautiful fish to look at. The Pink Convict Cichlid grows to a length of around 5 to 6 inches at full maturity. You should keep the Pink Convict Cichlid in an aquarium at least 50 gallons in size, to provide for plenty of room to swim around in. You should also provide plenty of rock and plant cover so the Pink Convict Cichlid has plenty of spots to hide in. The Pink Convict Cichlid is an aggressive fish and should be kept with other aggressive fish around its same size. The Pink Convict Cichlid is an Omnivore and should be fed a lot of vegetables along with worms and beef heart.
