Aquarium Related Tips

1. It is not advisable to leave your aquarium lights on at all times for the aquarium. You should keep the lights on for 8-12 hour periods at a time. If you want to keep the tank lights on when you arrive home, simply get a timer for the lights so your fish stay on a schedule.

2. You should take out any carbon filters in the aquarium when you are medicating your fish. The carbon in the filter will remove the medicine from the water, so it is best to remove it all together.

3. You should keep the temperature in your aquarium constant. Constant change in the aquarium can be dangerous for the fish in your aquarium. Keep a quality heater and accurate thermometer to ensure that the water stays stable for the aquarium.

Panda Barb

$9.15

The Panda Barb is a very active fish with beautiful and distinct markings. The Panda Barb will present its best colors in an aquarium with plant life and plenty of space to roam around in. The Panda Barb is a great fish for beginning aquarium enthusiasts as it is relatively easy to care for and hardy. The Panda Barb likes to be in schools of at least 5 or 6 other Barbs and this makes for a very entertaining display as the Panda Barb will zip around your tank. Grouping them also has the advantage that they are much less likely to attack another tank mate when they are grouped together. These are very beautiful and entertaining fish to put in any aquarium.
