Aquarium Related Tips

1. If you have a protein skimmer you should shut it off when you are adding medicine to your aquarium. The protein skimmer will remove any medicines added to the aquarium.

2. Catfish sometimes require freshwater as juveniles and then as they get old they will need a more brackish environment. Make sure you read up on your catfish to learn what its needs will be when it gets older.

3. It is generally recommended to use natural gravel for the aquarium. Colored gravel can be used, as long as it is professionally made, certain cheaply made color gravels can be toxic to fish in your aquarium.

Orange Sponge

$23.95

Orange Sponges are also typically called the Bee Sponge and are originally from the waters of the Indian Ocean. Orange Sponges are peaceful corals but are very hard to care for and should only be kept by the aquarium expert. Orange Sponges should be placed in a spot in the aquarium where they can receive low lighting and also medium water flow. To do this, you should place your Orange Sponge around the bottom layer of the aquarium. Orange Sponges can come in yellow and orange coloration and make beautiful additions to the reef aquarium.

Origin: Indian Ocean
Water Flow: Medium
Lighting: Low
Placement: Bottom of the aquarium.
Temperament: Peaceful
