Aquarium Related Tips

1. Some people go by the ìinch of fish, gallon of water rule when deciding on how large of an aquarium to buy. This is a completely false and bad method to go by, you should always check your individual fish's tank requirements.

2. Having a quarantine tank on hand is a very good practice to use if you frequently buy new fish. The quarantine tank will weed out any sick fish that could possible get into your aquarium and cause harm to the other inhabitants.

3. When you purchase your aquarium and the equipment for your setup, do not purchase the fish at the same time. You are going to need plenty of time to cycle the water in the aquarium to make it hospitable for the fish in your aquarium.

Money Cowrie

$1.55

Money Cowrie Snails are originally from the waters of the Central Pacific. Money Cowrie Snails grow to a size of around 2 inches at full length and should be kept in an aquarium of at least 30 gallons in size to provide them with plenty of swimming and living room. Money Cowrie Snails are herbivores and will feed on algae, diatoms, and cyanobacteria. Money Cowrie Snails are peaceful members of the aquarium, and should not be kept with more aggressive species that can possibly harm them. Money Cowrie Snails are easy to care for and can be kept by the beginning aquarium owner with little problem. These snails are very hardy, and can be kept in a reef aquarium with no problem.
