Mexican Turbo Snails get their name because they are originally from the waters around Mexico. Mexican Turbo Snails grow to a size of a round 3 inches at full length and should be kept in an aquarium of at least 20 gallons in size to provide plenty of swimming and living room for them. Mexican Turbo Snails are herbivores, and will feed on algae, diatoms, and cyan bacteria as well as scavenging around the aquarium. Mexican Turbo Snails are easy to care for, and can even be kept by the beginning aquarium owner with little problem.
