Mantis Shrimp are originally from the waters of the Indo-Pacific. Mantis Shrimp are aggressive and should be kept with plenty of space between them and more peaceful members of the aquarium. Mantis Shrimp are carnivores, and should be fed a steady diet of crabs, fish, shrimp, scallops and other meaty foods for best health. Mantis Shrimp grow to around 6 inches at full length and should be kept in an aquarium of at least 50 gallons in size to provide plenty of swimming and living room for them. Mantis Shrimp are easy to care for, and can be kept by even the beginning aquarium owner.
