Aquarium Related Tips

1. Some people go by the ìinch of fish, gallon of water rule when deciding on how large of an aquarium to buy. This is a completely false and bad method to go by, you should always check your individual fish's tank requirements.

2. You need to have some healthy natural bacteria to process the wastes and chemicals in your aquarium. This will take around 4 weeks to grow naturally, but you can purchase products to speed up the process.

3. When breeding angelfish, it is normal for the first spawn to suffer heavy losses and not make it all the way to the hatching phase. You should have the proper equipment before you start to breed angelfish.

Lavender Tangs are originally from the waters of the Pacific Ocean mostly around the islands of Hawaii. Lavender Tangs grow to around 8 inches at full length and should be kept in an aquarium of at least 100 gallons in size to provide plenty of swimming and living room for these fish.
