A very beautiful fish, the Green Texas Cichlid has a very pearly green color to its body with beautiful fins. The Green Texas Cichlid grows to around 12 inches in length at its maturity. Because of the size of the Green Texas Cichlid, it should be kept only in an aquarium of at least 50 gallons with a lot of room for them to swim around in. Like other Cichlids, the Green Texas Cichlid needs plenty of rocks and cover to hide in if it feels. The Green Texas Cichlid is semi aggressive and should only be kept with other Cichlids of the same temperament. They are omnivores and will eat a variety of plants and should be fed meat on a regular basis.
