Aquarium Related Tips

1. Do not overfeed the fish in your aquarium. Keep your feeding times at scheduled intervals to avoid overfeeding. If you are just starting your feeding routine, start out small and increase the amounts you put in on how much your fish eat.

2. Make any adjustments to the placement of the decorations in your aquarium before you fill up the aquarium all the way. Not doing this can cause an overflow when you reach into the tank.

3. Try to provide an environment that is as stable as possible, fluctuations in the aquarium can have a negative impact on the aquarium. Try to keep the temperature and PH levels fairly balanced in your aquarium.

Golden Damselfish

$18.00

(amblyglyphisoson aureus)
Saltwater

This fish likes to inhabit anywhere there are abundant sea fans, such as the outer reef slopes and inshore corals reefs of the Eastern Indian and Western Pacific Oceans. It is a golden yellow with bluish-purple spots on its face. Some will have dark diffuse blotches on the sides of its body. As this fish ages, its colors will fade and it will become more aggressive. This hardy, colorful and lively fish is a rare find.

Size: 1" to 2"; can get up to 3"
No. in Tank: One
Tank: min. 30 gallons
Temperament: Semi-Aggressive
Food: (Omnivore) It eats zoo-plankton in the wild. In the aquarium, feed both meat and veggie items. This fish will eat most foods offered. Feed small amounts (what it can eat within 3 to 5 minutes), 2 to 3 times a day.
Light: High
Adaptation: Do not introduce this fish until all of the more peaceful tank-mates have been established. It needs plenty of hiding spots and room to swim. To fully acclimate will take a minimum of two hours.
Compatibility: This fish will not disrupt a reef system or demolish invertebrates, making it ideal for a reef aquarium. It does best with larger fish, yet will harass fish many times its own size. No peaceful tank-mates.
