Aquarium Related Tips

1. Goldfish require a PH level of around 7.5 to live comfortably. Use PH testing strips to ensure that the levels in your aquarium are just right.

2. Cichlids tend to be very intelligent fish. You should do your best to interact with them as some species will respond positively to you arriving home. These fish are very active and if you interact with them, they can develop much better.

3. It is good to budget out the cost of your aquarium. You should leave plenty of money to purchase quality filters, pumps, and heaters for your aquarium. Your big aquarium is going to do you no good if you do not have the proper equipment to keep it going.

Giraffe Cichlid

$10.85

The Giraffe Cichlid gets its name from the markings along its body that give it some of the same colorations as a giraffe. The Giraffe Cichlid gets to around 25cm and around 17cm in females, this fish is very aggressive and only one male of its species should be in the tank at a time. It is also good not to keep the Giraffe Cichlid in a tank with other fish that are in the process of spawning as this Cichlid will eat any fry fish it comes across. You definitely need a lot of space when housing this fish as it is a very active swimmer and will tend to get more aggressive if it is kept in a tank with too little space to swim around and live in.
