From the waters of South East Asia, the Giant Gourami is a large fish that can grow up to more than 2 feet in length. Giant Gourami fish are generally peaceful fish, but will fight members of their own species when they are young. Giant Gourami fish are great community fish, but should not be kept with fish that are much smaller, as it will eat them if given the chance. Because of the size of this fish, you will need to provide a very large fish tank to house the Gourami in. Giant Gourami are omnivorous and should be fed a hefty amount of feeder fish, flake food, and pellet food as well. These fish are not picky about water conditions and will adapt to their environment to survive.
