Aquarium Related Tips

1. Avoid placing your aquarium near a radiator or any other form of heater. The heat given off by these devices can easily upset the temperature balance in your aquarium. Raised temperature levels can kill off the fish and plants that you have in your aquarium.

2. When adding new species to your aquarium, you have to ease them in. Adding too many fish too quickly can cause the ammonia and chemical levels to raise quickly. Adding fish slowly gives your filter time to catch up.

3. Stingrays make wonderful pets for the aquarium, but make sure you can properly care for your stingray in your home aquarium.

Giant Clam (Pacific)

$0.00

Giant Clams are originally from the waters of the South West Pacific, Fiji, and Solomon. Giant Clams are peaceful members of the aquarium and should not be kept with other more aggressive aquarium mates that may attack and harm them. Giant Clams should only be kept with other peaceful species that they can coexist alongside with no problem. Giants Clams should be kept in a spot in the aquarium where they can receive moderate lighting along with medium waterflow. Giant Clams can be placed anywhere in the aquarium where both its lighting and waterflow requirements can be met. Giant Clams are a bit difficult to care for and should only be kept by the experienced aquarium owner.
