1. If you have a protein skimmer you should shut it off when you are adding medicine to your aquarium.† The protein skimmer will remove any medicines added to the aquarium.
2. Make sure that the bottom of your aquarium is fully supported by your aquarium stand.† If you have any gaps in the structural integrity of your aquarium, it is much more prone to breaks and leaks.
3. Try to provide an environment that is as stable as possible, fluctuations in the aquarium can have a negative impact on the aquarium.† Try to keep the temperature and PH levels fairly balanced in your aquarium.
