1. Always use a new or clean bucket when going through the acclimation or water changing process.† A bucket that has been used to hold bleach or other chemicals can be very harmful for the fish in your aquarium.
2. Avoid placing your aquarium near a radiator or any other form of heater.† The heat given off by these devices can easily upset the temperature balance in your aquarium.† Raised temperature levels can kill off the fish and plants that you have in your aquarium.
3. You should always thoroughly research the type of aquarium you are going to be setting up before you purchase it.† Make sure you have the proper gallon capacity and shape that will fit in your home.
