Aquarium Related Tips

1. Do not overfeed the fish in your aquarium. Keep your feeding times at scheduled intervals to avoid overfeeding. If you are just starting your feeding routine, start out small and increase the amounts you put in on how much your fish eat.

2. It is good to budget out the cost of your aquarium. You should leave plenty of money to purchase quality filters, pumps, and heaters for your aquarium. Your big aquarium is going to do you no good if you do not have the proper equipment to keep it going.

3. You should always thoroughly research the type of aquarium you are going to be setting up before you purchase it. Make sure you have the proper gallon capacity and shape that will fit in your home.

Fire Shrimp

$21.95

The Fire shrimp is a great shrimp to have in your tank as it will scavenge and clean the other fish in your tank, it will setup a cleaning station and wait for fish to come visit it. When the fish arrives the shrimp will start to remove dead tissue and parasites from the fish, keeping the fish clean and healthy. This species needs a good amount of live rock and compatible and peaceful aquarium mates. This shrimp is a great addition to any existing reef aquarium. Like many creatures dwelling in saltwater aquariums this animal is very sensitive to changes in the water levels and copper based medications. This shrimp can be kept in male/female pairs but normally does not tolerate other members of its species.
